ELFE7626B
Electrolux ELFE7626B Balanced Dryer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Steam water supply and hose
- Moisture sensing and LuxCare Dry behavior
- Heating element and thermal parts
- Vent and lint path
The ELFE7626B is an 8.0 cu. ft. electric front-load dryer from Electrolux with Perfect Steam, Balanced Dry, the LuxCare Dry System, Instant Refresh and a 15-Minute Fast Dry cycle. It is also sold as the ELFE7626BD and ELFE7626BW. It is a current model, found in newer Houston homes.
This dryer does more than heat, so the checks cover more ground. We follow the water hose and valve when steam or Instant Refresh does nothing. We clean the sensors when a precise dry ends early or late. We test the element and thermal parts when loads stay damp, and we measure the vent every time, because airflow affects all of it.
We read the rating plate before ordering any part. You are quoted first, and thirty days of workmanship coverage follows the repair. A current dryer like this is usually worth repairing.

What does Instant Refresh need to work?
Instant Refresh is a steam-based cycle, so it needs the water supply connected and open. If it does nothing, we check the hose, shutoff and inlet screen first.
Why does my Balanced Dry cycle still leave clothes damp?
The dryer relies on sensing and airflow. Coated sensor bars or a restricted vent are the usual causes, and we clean and measure both before testing the heating parts.
What do the BD and BW endings mean?
They are the finish versions of the same dryer, ELFE7626BD and ELFE7626BW. We confirm yours on the label so the trim we order fits. Both are listed as finish versions, so the repair itself is the same.
