What CALL SERVICE means
CALL SERVICE can appear while an Electrolux Wave-Touch or IQ-Touch front-load washer in the EWFLW65H or EIFLW55H series, such as the EWFLW65HIW or EIFLW55HMB, runs its Install Cycle. During that test the washer found an electronic, wiring or water-flow trouble that it cannot sort out alone, so it stops and prints the message. Washers like these are older and still common in Houston, and we repair them and tell you if a repair is not worth it.
Common causes of CALL SERVICE
- Water supply or hose problems found during the Install Cycle
- Wiring or connectors between the control and washer parts
- The control or a sensor the Install Cycle checks
1. Recheck the installation: hoses on the right inlets, both faucets fully open and the drain hose seated in the standpipe. 2. Make sure the washer sits level and no hose is pinched behind it. 3. Start the Install Cycle again. 4. If CALL SERVICE shows once more, unplug the washer and call us.
- The message does not name the part, so we find out whether water, wiring or the control is behind it.
- We test the washer before we suggest any replacement.

What does CALL SERVICE mean on my washer?
The Install Cycle found something it could not clear, such as an electronic, wiring or water-flow issue. The washer stops until the cause is checked, which is why you see the message.
Can I just run the Install Cycle again?
Yes, after you recheck the hoses, faucets and drain. If the same message returns, the cause is probably not the setup, and the washer needs to be tested.
Does CALL SERVICE mean my washer is ruined?
Not at all. We find the cause first and tell you honestly what a repair would involve. Many of these washers are older, and we also say plainly if a repair is not worth it.
Still seeing CALL SERVICE?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
