What E67 means
E67 shows on heater-equipped front-load Electrolux washers from the Wave-Touch and IQ-Touch family, such as the EWFLW65HIW and EIFLW55HIW, when the control detects a problem with the heater sensing relay. In plain terms, the control cannot confirm that the internal water heater is switching correctly. Washers with no internal heater do not show it. The display reads E67 and the cycle may stop. It is an older design that we still repair, and we tell you honestly when the repair would not pay off.
Common causes of E67
- The heating element
- The wiring to the heater
- The heater relay on the main control board
1. Switch the washer off. 2. Try a cold or warm wash to see whether the washer completes a cycle without heating. 3. If E67 appears again, stop using the washer. 4. Call us and mention which wash temperature you were using.
- The code names the sensing relay, so we test the heater circuit and the board relay and do not guess which one is the cause.
- We check the heater and ground path before we suggest a board.
- Before any work you get a written price, and the finished repair has a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Other Washer codes
Does every Electrolux washer show E67?
No. It applies to models with an internal water heater. If your washer has no heater, E67 should not be the code you are seeing, and we would look at the display more carefully.
Can I wash with cold water until it is fixed?
It may work on some cycles, but the code can still stop the washer, even on a cold wash. Do not keep forcing it if it stops, and call us for a proper test.
Is the heater itself always bad?
Not always. The code is about the relay sensing, so the wiring and the board are tested along with the heater. We tell you which part is behind it before you approve any work.
Still seeing E67?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
