What E00 means
On Electrolux Wave-Touch and IQ-Touch front-load dryers such as the EIED55HIW, EIGD55HIW, EWED65HSS and EWMED65HIW, E00 is the readout that says no failure code has been recorded. It is not a problem. A technician sees it when reading the stored codes, and it means the dryer has not logged a failure. These are older models still in many homes, and we repair them.
Common causes of E00
- Nothing, since E00 reports no failure
1. If you see E00 and the dryer is not working, write down exactly what the dryer does, such as not heating or not turning. 2. Check that the door is closed fully and the lint screen is clean. 3. Look at the vent behind the dryer for a crushed hose. 4. Call us and describe what is wrong, since E00 itself is not a clue.
- E00 tells us the dryer logged no failure, so we diagnose from how the dryer behaves.
- We test the parts that matter for your complaint, such as heat or drum rotation.
- We say plainly when a repair is not worth it on an older dryer.
Other Dryer codes
What does E00 mean?
It means no failure code was recorded. The dryer is not telling you something is broken.
My dryer is not heating but shows E00. Why?
Not every problem is logged as a code. A clogged vent or a failed part can still cause no heat, so we check it directly.
Should I worry about E00?
No. It is a normal readout, not a warning. If the dryer works, you can ignore it.
Still unsure about E00?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
