EWFLW65I
Electrolux EWFLW65I Wave Washer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Drain pump and filter
- Door lock
- Fill valves and screens
- Wave-Touch panel
The EWFLW65I is an I-generation Wave-Touch front-load washer, 27 inches wide, sold as EWFLW65IMB and EWFLW65IRR. It is no longer built, which makes it an older machine still found in Houston homes.
Without a steam option listed, the washer is straightforward to diagnose. We run a cycle to see where it stops, then check the inlet screens and fill valves, the drain filter and pump, the door lock and the control panel. A Wave-Touch panel that is slow may only need a connector reseated, but we test before suggesting a new part.
The MB and RR finishes can differ in small ways, so parts come from the nameplate. A written estimate arrives before work, and we stand behind the work for 30 days. If your washer is still working well apart from one problem, a repair is often worth it.

What does the I in EWFLW65I stand for?
It marks the generation of the washer, an I-generation Wave-Touch model. We still rely on the full number and serial on the label to match parts, since finishes such as MB and RR use different letters.
The washer fills but does not drain. What do you check?
We start with the drain filter and hose for a clog, then test the pump. A clog is the simplest and cheapest cause, and we tell you what we find before we quote anything in writing.
How wide is this washer?
It is a 27-inch model. That width helps us confirm that it fits the laundry space and that it lines up properly with a matching dryer or a stacking kit.
