EFLS517STT
Electrolux EFLS517STT Titanium Washer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Steam function and inlet valve
- Dispenser drawer and detergent flow
- Drain pump and filter
- Door lock and boot seal
The EFLS517STT is a titanium front-load washer with a 4.3 cubic foot drum, Perfect Steam and LuxCare Wash. It left the lineup a while back, so it is an older machine, yet it remains a familiar sight in Houston homes with a laundry closet or utility room.
Its steam option adds a water path that a plain washer does not have, so when a cycle stops or the steam never seems to happen, we check the steam inlet valve and the supply first. Then we look at the dispenser drawer for buildup, the drain filter and pump, and the door lock and seal.
Since revision builds of this washer exist, we match parts from the nameplate rather than from the finish code alone. You get a written estimate before we start, a 30-day guarantee on our labor, and an honest opinion on cost against age.

What does the Perfect Steam option change for service?
It adds a steam water path to the washer, so we check the steam inlet valve and supply if the steam cycle does not work. Normal wash problems are checked the same way as on any front-load washer.
The dispenser drawer is clogged with residue. Is that a repair?
Often it is a cleaning job, but we also check the water flow behind the drawer in case a valve or hose is limiting it. We tell you what we find before quoting anything.
Can you repair an STT washer without the old paperwork?
Yes. Nothing from the original paperwork is needed. We copy the nameplate numbers, and that is enough to match parts and confirm the build before we give a written quote.
