EWFLS70J
Electrolux EWFLS70J Flagship Washer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Steam heating and valve
- Wave-Touch control
- Door lock and boot seal
- Drain pump and filter
The EWFLS70J was a flagship steam washer in the Wave-Touch line, with a 4.3 cubic foot capacity and Perfect Steam. It is now discontinued, and it is sold in five finishes, from EWFLS70JIW to EWFLS70JTS. Plenty of these are still in Houston laundry rooms.
As a flagship, it has more features to check. We test the steam function, the Wave-Touch controls, the door lock and boot seal, and the drain system. If it stops mid-cycle, we note what it was doing when it stopped, since that points us to the water, the drain or the door.
The series number alone does not identify the build, so we match parts from the nameplate. You get a written estimate before work and a direct opinion on whether an older flagship is worth fixing.

What finishes does the EWFLS70J come in?
It was sold as EWFLS70JIW, EWFLS70JMB, EWFLS70JRR, EWFLS70JSS and EWFLS70JTS. We confirm which one you have from the label, because the finish suffix helps us match the right build.
The steam washer stops partway through the cycle. Why?
It may be the door lock, a drain or fill issue, or the control. We watch what stage it stops at and test that part first.
Will repairing a flagship washer cost more?
It can, since a flagship steam washer has more parts than a basic one. We find the cause first, then give you the exact price in writing before starting any work.
