What E11 means
The fill time is too long when E11 shows on an Electrolux Wave-Touch or IQ-Touch front-load washer such as the EWFLW65HIW, EIFLW55HIW, EFLS627UTT or ELFW7637AT. During the wash the washer is not taking in water as it should, and it may lock itself for up to six minutes. Washers like these are older and still run in plenty of Houston laundry rooms. A common installation slip is hot and cold hoses on the wrong faucets.
Common causes of E11
- Water supply: faucets, hose kinks or low pressure
- Clogged inlet screens
- The water inlet valve
- The pressure sensor or main control
1. Make sure both water faucets are fully open and the hoses are not kinked. 2. Check that the hot and cold lines are not reversed. 3. Check the water supply requirements in the Use and Care guide. 4. If you unplug the washer, remember it restarts the six-minute lock. Call us if E11 returns.
- The code shows slow filling but not whether the supply, a screen, the valve or a sensor is the cause, so we test each.
- We check the inlet screens before suggesting a valve.
- We give you the price on paper before we touch the washer, and our workmanship is warranted for 30 days.

Why does E11 lock my washer?
After a fill problem the washer can lock for up to six minutes. Unplugging it restarts that wait, so it is better to leave it alone and let it finish.
Could my hoses be on the wrong sides?
Yes. Reversed hot and cold lines are a known installation issue that can cause E11. Check that each hose goes to the correct faucet and the correct washer inlet.
Is low water pressure the cause of E11?
It can be. We check supply pressure, the faucets, hose kinks and the inlet screens first, and then move on to the inlet valve, the pressure sensor and the control.
Still seeing E11?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
