EWGD65H
Electrolux EWGD65H 27-Inch Dryer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Gas igniter and valve coils
- Lint in the burner area
- Vent run and exhaust airflow
- Wave-Touch panel response
EWGD65H names a series, the H generation of Electrolux gas dryers with Wave-Touch controls. The dryers are 27 inches wide and hold 8.0 cu. ft., and the full number on the label adds finish letters, for example EWGD65HIW, EWGD65HMB or EWGD65HTS.
A gas dryer like this is normally connected to a gas line behind it and a vent that runs through the wall or roof. When it stops heating, we start with the igniter and gas valve coils, then the burner area for lint. Long dry times lead us to the vent. If the Wave-Touch panel does not respond or beeps without starting, we check the door switch and the panel connections.
Finish letters and revision are printed on the tag, not in the base number, so we read it before any order goes out. The price is written down first, and we back the repair for 30 days.

What does the 27-inch width mean for installation?
It is the standard dryer width, so it fits most laundry closets. The gas connection and vent usually sit behind it, and we need access to both. We tell you if the dryer must be pulled out before we can work.
My EWGD65H starts but never heats. What do you test?
Gas supply comes first, then the igniter and valve coils. A restricted vent can also shut the burner off for safety, so we measure airflow before we finish.
Is the EWGD65H still repairable?
Yes. It is an older Wave-Touch gas dryer, and we repair it regularly. We match parts to the label and write the price down. If a repair would not pay off, we tell you.
